AS A LONG TIME READER OF THE HOME SHOP AMCHINEST I REALLY GOT
INTERESTED IN CNC WITH THEIR NEW MAGAZINE. i HAVE A BRIDGEPORT MOOG NC
MACHINE AND I AM TRYING TO DISCOVER WHEATHER IT WOUOD BE CHEAPER AND OR
LESS WORK TO START WITH A USED CNC MACHINE OR TO TRY AND CONVERT THIS
OLD AIR AND HYDRAULIC MACHINE TO BALL SCREWS. I WAS NEVER ABLE TO FIND
A TAPE PUNCH FOR THE OLD MACHINE SO IT HASNT HAD MUCH USE. IT TOOK AN
ENNORMOIUS AMOUNT OF AIR BUT WAS USEFUL FOR THE TAPES THAT I HAD UNTIL
THEY GAVE OUT. I WOULD LIKT HE MAGAZINE TO HAVE A REGU;AR FEATURE ON
CODING. OR A T LEAST BE ABLE TO CODE AND THEN RUHE CODE ON COMPUTER TO
SEE HOW I DID. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS. AND HAS ANYONE TRIED THE LINUXCNC
PROGRAM THAT IS DOWNLOADAVBLE ON THE INTERNET THINKOF IT> I DONT WANT
TO INVEST IN ANOTHER OS IF IT DOESNT PERFORM. THANK STEVE
