Sometimes not giving enough information can make any advise
poor. What if these are for spindles where the slop doesn't matter as much?
All gear drives have some slop, antibacklash drives compensate for
it, but apply enough force and the slop reappears.
If you had a worm reducer with an output uncertainty of 10 seconds of
arc, would that be horrible or great? How about 10 minutes of
arc? How about 10 degrees of arc?
For a spindle, 10 degrees would be acceptable, but not for a rotary table.
