I retrofit my Boss 6. I completely scrapped the original control and
wiring. The only thing I re-used was the pneumatic valves, limit
switches, fuse holder/knife switch, and power cabinet. I modified the
power cabinet to mount on the side where the control cabinet was and
put the operator console swing arm on it. I also scrapped the
steppers in favor of AC servos. Looking back, I would do the same
thing again.
