Well, there really has been little change, except CNC, in machine tools
in the past 70 years. Certainly there has been a lot of change in the
CNC
end, but the basic iron is still very much the same. This is less true
of the
automobile, but speed limits keep the new cars from doing much that
you can't do with an old one. That is not true with anything
electronic,
of course. There's no speed limit for computation.
