Windows XP and a minimum of 1000mhz -A MINIUM-. I've heard of guys using 400 and 500mhz pc's, but since your 200mhz definitely wont work you just as well get as much processing power as you can afford. I'm using a panasonic cf-72 1.8ghz (very rugged, great shop computer) with 512mb ram. ($400 ebay buy) I would also recommend using the Mach3 winXP optimizer available on the http://www.artsoftcontrols.com/ website.

I don't know about the OS, but I'd bet that your current laptop wouldprobably work.
