Yeehaw!! :) My made-from-bits-of-cheap-kitchen miller made its first cuts
today :)
Only on a simple script controlled over an i2c bus and only on MDF
(canibalism ?) but they where cuts goddamnit.
Conclusion? Must write software...must write software...must write
software...and... dremels are no use whatsoever on homemade millers. Going to
have to support the collet nut in a bearing if it is ever going to be usable,
will be looking at other options first though.
Considering the state of the tool I was using the thing should be rigid enough
for brass and aluminium and should manage 0.5mm pitch PCB tracks without any
problems once the spindle is sorted out.
Right...G01....
cheers
