You could install Mach3 onto Ubuntu using either Wine or VMWare, but it
would be silly. It would not work correctly.

If you want to use Linux and control a CNC, your best bet would be to
use EMC2, a Linux machine controller distributed on an Ubuntu-based
liveCD :)
