Rutex - maybe Stay away.

People much more qualified than me have tried and convinced themselves
they are more marketing than fact re: 200v and 40 amps.
There is a lot of technical detail about 1-2 years ago.

The granite devices stuff is supposed to be very good.
I highly recommend trying them -
I don´t know of anyone who has been disappointed with them- their rep is
excellent.

No personal experience, though, but I plan for granite for a step dir
lathe spindle of around 1 kW.
At 200 €/axis they are cheap, relative to the power.
