Check with Smithy.com Earlier this year, they were selling their new
CNC mills in CNC ready versions. I don't see the CNC ready models
advertised on their web site now, but as I recall, they had industrial
specs at a very reasonable price, and some were within your budget.

When you evaluate the machines, be sure to consider the spindle
horsepower. A 1/8 carbide cutter does not take much power to cut with,
but it takes a lot of HP to get it up to a speed where it will cut
efficiently.
