Re: Vacuum pump for vacuum chuck?

The simple answer is yes you can use a refrig pump for a vacumn punp,
I've used one on it's own for both vacumn degassing and clamping. The
only thing to watch out for is that they are designed for closed loop
use so you have to feed them a little oil from time to time to stop
them seizing.
