If anybody is interested simply in 2.5D work and not full 3D G codes, we
offer LinkCAM, a version of LinkMotion drivers for Win XP, Win 7 32/64 bit
operating systems.
Simply, design your cutting paths in AutoCAD, Rhino, Corel Draw, Adobe
Illustrator, DesingCAD, and many others. Click Print selecting LinkCAM as
the output driver and it will generate G codes for you within seconds. It
will assign TXT extension by default. This will allow editing of the G code
file in any of the standard Windows editors.
All you need to worry about is setting the starting position of the Z axis
to match with your G codes and you are good to go.
DNC capability is built into the LinkCAM for sending the jobs to your
controller using serial port of your choice.
A fully working demo is available for 30 days or 30 executions. It is
available for $100 per copy for now. Documentation is available on the web
site. Please, send us a request by email for demo program.
