Thanks guys - yes, I meant 2.8Amps - oops - and your trivia makes sense,
once stated, Lou - didn't really think of it before that tho. Shud be up and
running in AM.

Actually (a little bit of trivia) ...
The values you will most likely find for a 2900 ohm resistor will lie
between one of two ranges: 2755 to 2842 and and 2958 to 3045. There is a
hole between 2842 and 2958 because 2% (and higher) precision resistors
are cherry-picked from the manufacturing run.

I guess you mean the motors are 2.8A?
I think you will be fine with the 2.9K resistor.
Note that the specs call for a 2.8K 5% resistor, meaning it could
actually measure anywhere from 2.66K to 2.94K ohms.
If you have a good ohmmeter, measure your 2.9K resistors, and select one
that is on the low side of IT'S tolerance. For instance, if your
resistors are 5% units, they can be anywhere from 2.755 to 3.045K ohms.

I got my G540 and see that I need some resistors across the 1 and 5 pins
on
each motor drive. The motors are 2.8 ohm, so I need 2800 ohm resistors.
I
have 2900 and 2200 - is it ok to use the 2.9K?
thanks
