The beauty of reprap is that once you have one, you can build another or
build modifications to the one you already have. I am in the process of
sourcing the parts for a MendelMax, might take a few months due to my
budget. I am traveling about 2 hours tomorrow to pick up the printed
parts, and the aluminum extrusions and vitamins (shafts/threaded
rod/nuts/bolts/washers/etc) are in the mail. Then I will need to source
the PCB for RAMPS and an arduino mega, motors and bushings... then the hot
end (the body of the extruder comes with the other parts) and power
supply. A heated build table is required for ABS, but a OSB board can do
if you are printing PLA.
