Remember, we are talking about 24 volts *DC* and 120 volts *AC*.

I was surprised too the first time I connected a 120 volt AC relay to 24
volts DC. And equally surprised when I connected a 24 volt DC relay to
120 volts AC.

I guess I will have to take both types of motors into the lab and put
them on a bridge. I have a slo-syn apart, but to make sure I am getting
only one coil, I may have to take a stepper apart too.

If you have a slo-syn and a bridge, you might give it a try.
