Re: stepper motors

AC synchronous motors can be made into DC stepper motors but the problem is
that they are very high inductance thus it is difficult to get good speed
out of the motors. Additionally, some of these motors don't lend themselves
to be easily rewired internally. Stick with regular stepper motors.
