Master control uses the time stamp counter as its main
check frequency. But to use windows I think the only way is to use
interrupts. Your right about the 8192hz being too
low a granularity, but according to the sound blaster documentation, it
should be poossible to DSP interrupt at
100khz. Its a question of how much overhead that would create. It will be
interesting to see how slow windows will
go when this is attempted.
