I keep Kevin Carrolls original Step.exe in the same directory as Charlies
version
with the latter renamed Step5.exe so I can switch between them. With the
same .dat files, Charlies version is a lot faster and smooth as silk - I'm
looking
forward to testing V6!

Good choice, Dan's driver is a solid bet for almost all the stepper
applications we discuss here
it will sure give your steppers the "poke" needed. - see Tim Goldsteins site
though for important info on shielding and power supply etc.
