DeskNC limitation

I recently finished a single axis drive unit for converting a rotary
table with the intent of using DeskNC as the control software. I
think I have found a limitation in the software though and would like
to ask the list for input. It seems that the 'A' axis can only be
programmed and display to four places to the right of the decimal
point. This only gives 36 seconds of accuracy.

Running the drive/motor in half-step mode and using a gear ratio
(5:1) will give me 7 & 20/100's seconds accuracy. The table being
converted has 15 seconds accuracy. (5 turns on the motor is equal to
4 degrees or 2000 half steps)

Can anyone recomend a software package that will accept, process and
display the 'A' axis to a 5 or a full 6 places to the right of the
decimal point?
