Donald,
I'm assuming you're running the motor direct drive to the input shaft
of the rotary table, right? If so, how about changing your drive to
a cogged belt setup with some more reduction between the pulleys?
I built a setup similiar to yours using a Hardinge dividing head and
found the only way I could get the fine resolution I wanted was by
the cog belt reduction method.
