Help: MaxNC Gib Adjustment

I've not been able to find anything in the archives on this subject.
The MaxNC mill didn't come with any documentation explaining how to
adjust the gibs. There are four set screws in a row on one side of
the mount for each axis.
How do you adjust the setscrews? They turn easily so I suspect some
sort of threadlocking compound is needed? Is there a magic method to
minimize the play while minimizing binding?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
