Jon,
What I did with mine was to remove those little setscrews and replace them
with
longer ones, then added a nut to lock them in place.
Watch out how snug you make them, you will run into problems with missed
steps
at high feed rates. The best way to set them is to disconnect the motors and
remove
the leadscrews. Then set them by hand while sliding the table back and
forth. Start
with the center two screws first, then adjust the outer 'till there is just
a slight bit
more drag.
I also found that parafin (same thing that is in way lube) works best as a
lube for the slides.
It doesn't runn off and is "slicker 'n snot".
