Is it possible that a k6 wont respond to the machine code instruction for
"rdtsc", I use the time stamp counter
in a pentium chip for exact timing. It allows me to time to within a few
nanoseconds for smoothness. Maybe a K6 has no time stamp counter? If it
can't the computer would
lock up in my initialization loop as it times the CPU bus for further
calculations.
