Re: not stiff enough!

Thanks all those who responded to my stiffness quiestions.

Taking cuts no more than 1/2" the bit diameter, and running the routine
twice has solved 90% of the problems. Ran some test holes, and determined if
I set the bit size right, run the program twice, and take light cuts, I can
cut a hole damn close to exactly the size I want.

Still get some flex when the 1/4" router bit plunges in. I'm putting the
3/4" rails on Z, and trying different bits.

Thanks again. I'll probably not rebuild the machine from scratch, though
Mark III will be a stiffer design all around.
