In addition to what Jon mentions I would recommend www.usdigital.com as the
source for encoders. One other point is that the Gecko 320 have a maximum
rating of 50 ma for the quadrature encoders. Current drain over this could
cause failure of the Gecko 320.
Most encoders using the HEDS 9100 read head will work fine at well below the
max current requirement imposed by the gecko 320's.
