Good point Dan, but the ONLY motivation to "steal" your idea is money. If the idea won't make any money you never have to worry
about theft.
Learn from history, Inventors NEVER reap the financial benifit of their inventions, UNLESS they happen to be expert buisiness
men as well. Unfortunately, the two are usually mutually exclusive.
These stories you hear about the guy who invented the "Post-it note", wow he's a millionare. These are urban myths people,
don't belive it.
Marketing a product takes a huge amount of money and consumer "presence". Companies typically buy patents from their employees
for a penny. This is their intellectual property right that is in your contract if you read it.
Any technical company of any size will own the rights to your ideas. You can be sitting on the crapper and draw up the next
mousetrap on a square of toilet paper. Doesn't matter. And the sad reality is that they have the recources to SUE and PURSUE, and
individuals don't.
Hey, I'm ranting, but my point is to be very careful with your marketable ideas, and don't have unrealistic expectations about
the mountain of money waiting for you.
