Re: sherline motor/speed control wiring IT WORKS!

Hey guys, great news! First, I by-passed the thermal protection
thingy and the motor and speed control work perfectly :) Second, I
read and studied about connecting I1 and I2 together to cause
a "brake/inhibit" action and it TOTALLY worked!!! Yes, when I
connected I1 and I2 together the motor came to nice stop and when you
unconnect I1 and I2 the motor accels like normal!!!! Yippy! Now, its
just a matter of hooking up a relay or transistor to do the
connecting/unconnecting for me through CNCPro! I also noticed if you
stop the motor by hand when you turn off the power and then turn it
back on right away the motor "jerks" for a second. If you let it
spool down on its own or wait a little longer, then turn on the power
it will not "jerk" like that-probably time needed for a capacitor to
discharge or something.
We're almost there!!!!
