Re: Dremel alternatives

Hi All,
I have a Dremel MultiPro Variable Speed Model 395
apart infront of me. There is no rubber even near the front bearing!
There is howerver a rubber cup on the back bearing. If you calculate
the force needed to get the back bearing to move in the rubber cup,
You will find you have exceeded the maximum limits of the Dremel
tool several times. The effective fulcrum is around the mounting
threads if anyone wants to figure this out. My new Dremel has more
power than my old one. My old one has bushings that are worn! But it
keeps on going. As for the laminate trimmers, they look great for sign
making but I don't think they can cut it (Ha!Ha!)when it comes to PCB
or fine engraving work. Now to get it back together!
