BTW...I spoke with that stockmaker the other night. He uses the router body
from a small hand held router.
He runs it anywhere from 20 to 20 hours a week....frequently under heavy
loading. It's not a heavy duty model router and he replaces it about every
six months because it's cheaper and quicker to replace the whole thing than
it is to get the bearings replaced.bearings. Hmmmm....I'll have to talk to
him about possibly getting his throw aways and maybe fixing them for
building small CNC router machines.
At any rate, he says that the Porter Cable brand is the one that lasts the
lognest of all those he's used so far.
