Hi Ballendo,
There have been many models of Dremels over the years. I
bought mine at Home Dupa. There were three models there. One of them
only had two speeds.
I am a Dremel man! My complents are...After a few years go by you
decide to buy a new tool. The new Dremel does not fit your old Drill
press fixture etc. The mounting threads change to a Tap that is hard
to find. The body is not close to being round so making a fixture to
hold it becomes harder. Foreign countries have motor tools that are
beefier, maybe Dremel should consider a heaver model.
I highly recommend starting out with a small CNC machine using
a Dremel. Less chance of a serious injury! Using a Dremel draws the
same kind of heat as running an Apple computer. Both have been called
garbage! I make keyring watchs with my machine and a Dremel. I also
have the Dremel routing circuit boards!
