I was using maxnc4 deluxe.
When I was preparing the x axis table for the ballscrew drive nut I noticed
that there was a tight spot on the X axis when the Gibb was adjusted to the
saddle and when the saddle was slid back and forth there was a noticeable
tight spot in one location. So I used some non embedding lapping compound to
remove the tight spot. After it was removed I placed the table on my milling
machine and indicated the surfaces. It was generally within .001" which
after seeing all the problem with poor pitch tolerances on the original
leadscrews that this was about as good as I was going to get.
