What is even worse that the backlash with these machines is that the acme
leadscrew pitch was off. I measured mine at being off short by .010 in ten
inches with the backlash taken up. The ballscrew removed the .02 backlash
and the pitch is perfect at .200 per thread over 10 inches.
I can't remember it has been so long but I don't recall the problem with the
gibb adjustment.
