Larry Edington: "My DOS machines shall remain 3.5"
floppy based sneakernet....... You find it at any shoe
store. Just get a new pair of sneakers and you have a
new sneaker net. Then grab a floppy and walk it to the
machine."
Over here we use wooden clogs. Can't remember if we
copied the Dutch or the Dutch copied us. Very loud and
not so sneaky. :>)
Larry Edington: " I do find it easier for me to use
Windows based software since I can put all my machines
on my LAN. I can post files from my CAM workstation
and copy them out to the machine that is going to run
them. Right now I'm doing this via sneaker net since I
have to use floppies with the DOS based machines."
Appear to me that CAM and control are integrated in
Flashcut? Which means there should be no need to
bother with sneaker, clogs, disks or whatever? BTW,
1.44MB = how many lines of G/M code?
Larry Edington: "By the way Peter, your caps lock key
is stuck!"
Sorry. :>( Just my way of distinquishing my wisdom
from lesser beings :>) I am on dial-up and hunger
ration. I quickly download all messages, read at
leisure, occasionally compose using notepad, so
snippets are not marked by the usual > .. Hope I
didn't irritate anyone on the list.
