I'd like to bring to light a fact that is somewhat buried on the
Yeager Automation (CNC Pro) website...

Tim Goldstein wrote concerning EMC pulse rates:

"This works out to 10,000 steps per inch times 180 ipm = 1,800,000
steps per minute divided by 60 = 30,000 steps per second."

Tim stated that this rate is achieved with an AMD K-6 450 MHZ system.

From the CNC Pro website:

"5) How fast can CNC Pro run my machine?

This speed with which CNC Pro can emit steps is based on the
processor speed of the computer. Here is what you can expect: 25mhz
486 will send about 5000 steps/sec., P120 will send about 30000
steps/sec, P266 will send about 60000 steps/sec, and a P450 will send
about 100000 steps/sec (!*). In order to get these step output rates
you must have the setting "Update Display After Move Only" set
to "ON"."
