Speaking of materials, another good one which is even stronger than cast
iron is cast meehanite....an alloy of cast iron.

Hello,

A material we've talked a fair bit about on othwer lists is ZA12 and
ZA28.(Zinc aluminum; NOT Zamak) It is strong(nearly as strong as CI,
AIRC), tough, and a bearing material. Casts at 950°. Try the
