The way that I've passed information to my Linux box so far is to copy the
downloaded files to floppy and carry them. My linux box is dual boot so I
use the win95 backup from my internet machine and restore on the win95
partition on the Linux machine. Once I have the files on the second PC, I
boot linux and use cp or mv the files from the win partition.

There are better ways -- a network or a linux capable modem -- but I
haven't found the time to set either up.

As for 5.1, NIST has a version of rt and emc that will work. I ran it for
a bit but have no idea how you can get it from them now with their firewall
problem. Or you could just download the 2.0.36 kernel stuff from Red Hat
and use the emc version on Tim's site.
