I have used one before, as well as a manual one that I made. The only
difference is, the automatic one there is a ring that you can hold
while it's turning that will step the boaring bar over by some
increment (.001). All you have to do to move the boaring bar over by
.005 is to count 5 clicks when you grab the ring. Of course the
boaring head is turning very slow so it's not unsafe to do this :)
With the manual one, you have to stop the machine and turn the screw
with an allen head wrench to move the boaring bar over.
