Tim, I'll be waiting to hear your results with the Gecko 210's and
your 48V powersupplies. There is a large Electronic Surplus outfit
here in town. I'll be paying them a visit soon. :-)
I'm excited about the project. Seems as the Series I is the perfect
machine for the Home Shop as its just about the right size.
Steppers are going to make the project affordable. Inside of 48
hours I've gotten a wealth of information pointing me in the right
direction.
Money is an object at this time. I'm in the middle of adding on to
my shop for the metalworking machines. That's tapped me.
Inasmuch as this mill was a bargain, I wasn't prepared to outlay the
cash for it at this time. So, when it comes home it goes under tarp
for awhile. When I get the time, the iron will get a bath, cleaned
and a coat of paint put on it. In the mean time I'll be parts hunting
as time and money permits. I'll make an attempt to document the
project from start to finish and put it up on a web page for future
