Re: Phase converter for CNC lathe

I have been looking further into the phase converters for CNC
equipment and have found a factory built unit www.rotomaster.com that
is reasonable. They are out of SC and sell a 30hp CNC unit for
$1550. I do have one concern: to balance the voltage for CNC use
they use capacitors. Is this how other phase converters balance the
voltage? Is this the best way? Will it cause me any problems? They
said they have been running CNC machines for years without any
problem and have a warrenty.

Thanks

Scott
