Both of my cnc machines originally were wired for 3 phase. After studying the
panel for a bit I realised the cnc control ran on single phase. The 3 phase
was split to use two of the three legs as input into a stepdown transformer
which in
turn fed the control. I now feed the transformer with a seperate single phase
220 volt line and use 3 phase only to run the spindles. This requires a
little rewiring
of the panel but eliminates running "generated" 3phase into the control.
