Hi my name is Russ and I'm new to the group, seems to be a great source for
cnc information! As far as stepper motors go, I can tell you that "phase
resistance" is very important! Ok, I believe this is the formula for phase
resistance, volts / amps = resistance per phase. The higher the resistance,
the more heat is generated, less efficient they are, 4 ohms is a bit high,
the lower the better .Also a 8 wire stepper is better, because of different
wiring options.
