That's true, I'm sure there are a LOT of connectors out there! I just
use them enough for RS-232 stuff, that I have a lot of removable pins,
shells, crimpers. Cannon and Amphenol certainly do make good
connectors. Maybe I need to "stock up" on a new series of connectors!
I usually choose what I can find at my local surplus stores.
