have found that there are always bumps in the road with the format. Always will
be. I have even exported a DXF file from various proggies that couldn't even
import their own rendition of the same file !
I do know that some browsers and e-mail proggies will display a DXF file right
"inline" with any other part of the message, causing something to go awry with
the format of a DXF file. I had the same with Vector and a different file from
a friend. He Zipped it, it Worked.
If it is Zipped up first, it ends up like a legit attachment. Unzip it, save it
and import or merge it, THEN it works.......... Well, as well as DXF files work
anyhow !
I will say that so far Vector has done a very good job sorting out dupes and
such. The Reorganize command is excellent !
Too bad there will probably NEVER be a format one can rely on. Too many "new"
methods, too many copyright issues, too many lawyers and too much "cad
politics". We keep spending money, but we will always lose..............
