If you are running Gecko G3X0 drives you should be using steppermod not
freqmod. That will eliminate you follow errors. The reason you need to
tune freqmod in EMC is that it is actually taking feedback from virtual
encoders and handling the motion control like there are real servos
attached. If your acceleration is too fast and your computer not fast
enough the virtual encoders will lag and produce a follow error.
