because it is SIMULATING a servo-controlled machine with encoder
feedback in software!

Well, I had a power failure long enough that I was reaching for a flashlight

so i could crawl out of the shop. I'd guess over 1/4 second, maybe close
to 1/2 second. When the power came back on, I was amazed to see the
computer still humming along, the motion system still running, and even the
VFD still driving the spindle motor! So, at least my system will take MUCH
more than a flicker. And, I didn't have to scrap the part!
