Chris,
Ah yes, that would be the HAM (Hardware Assist Module). Read p-port
dongle. It may have been added due to the fact that Digital tool may
have(to protect me legally) sold many HUNDREDS of copies of the LPT
program without Ability receiving their fair share...
Another great front end for the older version is/was TOOL, made by
Crawford Millworks in Texas. Crawford owned one of the first Digital
tool machines, and was frustrated by the interface, which was based
on IXLPT; but which did not implement many of the more important
features.
So, if they are still around, or you can get your hands on a copy, I
can reccomend doing so...
