This is really mild. There are systems out there that go to 300,000 RPM
with induction motors. Some high speed motors are used in gyros, too.
For tiny high speed motors in handpieces, though, air turbines are
the ideal device. But, if you want constant speed, the AC motor is
far superior. The air turbine stalls easily, as it is constant torque.
