A VERY good question, and one for which an answer is needed! I built a
machine for export to England just-over 15 years back, and used a 3½ hp
Perske 400 Hz router-motor, and it was SUPER-fine (and noisy due to
non-aerodynamic fan-hood on motor) and very, very expensive. But it "did the
job well". Had to specify English 3-phase voltage for motor/generator (415
VAC/50 Hz in UK), and that confused the Germans, since they expected 240 or
208 VAC/60 Hz, but "we made it, ok")

I sometimes have uses for sub-hp routers for small special CNC WW machines,
but the only such available here are Japanese laminate-trimmers! As
"brush-motors", these outlast U.S.-made several times, over, but still, HF
3-ph. would be nice! TEFC type motors, instead of open, noisy, sparking,
"brush-motors" (fire-hazard!)
