How about Onsrud/Danly (BIG spindles) and Rockwell/Precise?
The Onsrud is definitely made as a wood router, the Rockwell/Precise
is made for internal grinding, but could be used for other purposes.
Where do you get the inverters to run these motors? I have
figured out how to use late-model VFD's that go to 400 Hz, but
that limits spindle speed to 24,000 RPM.
