Some one on this list asked me about the post processor and how it
can be customised. This is well covered in the older DOS versions
manual. Although the program is now 32 bit windows and has been for a
while it's still based on the way it used to work in DOS so the old
manuals although not relating directly to the windows product are
that close that they are useable.
I asked Dolpin for permission to send these files over so the guy
could see first hand. Some companies view their help files like the
Official Secrets Act. Not Dolphin, OK go ahead send the lot if needed
they said, no problem.
These manuals are very good as well and spend time on each screen
that comes up. All too often other programs will spend 200 pages
telling you how to draw something and then the CAM side is covered in
about 6 pages with skimpy examples. Dolphin spend at least a full A4
sized page explaining all the functions of that command, sometimes up
to 4 pages just for one command. This isn't something new, it's been
there since the start of Version 4 about 6 years ago.
