Gecko 201/G320 common signal GROUND!

Some time ago I talked with Mariss about the use of +5 for the signal
common I mentioned that while I agree with him technically, it freaks
out a lot of potential customers and was wondering if he had considered
a little board to reconfigure the opto coupler from +5 common to common
signal ground. It also adds unnecessary expense to buy the daughter
boards to convert the G201/G320 to G210/G340s simply to get the common
signal ground feature. He agreed, and he said he would design a little
board to do that. He is a very busy person and has a lot of irons in the
fire so I asked him to email me the pcb and I would have a batch made.
These are tiny little boards about .5X.5. You would simply remove the
opto from it's socket and plug it into the adapter board, then plug the
adapter board back into the G201 board observing the original
orientation.
If there is any interest in this email me off line and I see what I can
do about having a batch made in the next few weeks.
Remember this would only apply to G201/G320 with the socket for the opto
coupler.
